SMS / Text Messaging Terms & Conditions

By providing your mobile number and opting in to receive text messages from Nexus Education, Inc. d/b/a Nexus STEM Workshop (“Nexus,” “we,” “us”), you consent to receive SMS/text messages related to our educational programs and services. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchase or enrollment.
1. SMS Consent Communication
The information (Phone Numbers) obtained as part of the SMS consent process will not be shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
2. Types of Messages You May Receive
If you have consented to receive text messages from us, depending on your relationship with us (enrolled family vs. prospective customer), text messages may include:
- a. Class and scheduling communications (e.g., confirmations, reminders, rescheduling notices, cancellations).
Example: "Nexus STEM Workshop: Your trial physics session is scheduled for Saturday at 3:00 PM. Please reply YES to confirm or contact us if you need to reschedule. Reply STOP to opt out of SMS messaging." - b. Lesson and homework information (e.g., practice problem notifications, homework reminders, materials sent to your email).
Example: "Nexus STEM Workshop: Homework for this week is due by Friday evening. Please review problems 1–5 from today’s session. We’ll discuss common questions at the start of the next class. Reply STOP to opt out of SMS messaging." - c. Billing and account notifications (e.g., invoices, payment reminders, payment status updates).
Example: "Nexus STEM Workshop: This is a reminder that your invoice for the upcoming session has been issued. Please check your email for payment details. Contact us if you have any questions. Reply STOP to opt out of SMS messaging." - d. Service inquiries and customer support for prospective or current families (e.g., questions about services, pricing, location, class hours).
Example: "Nexus STEM Workshop: Thank you for your interest in our STEM programs. We received your inquiry and will contact you shortly to discuss scheduling and course details. Reply STOP to opt out of SMS messaging." - e. Program updates (only where permitted and/or based on your consent).
Example: "Nexus STEM Workshop: New workshop sessions in physics and scientific computing will begin next month. If you’re interested in learning more, reply YES or contact us at info@nexus-stem.org. Reply STOP to opt out of SMS messaging."
3. Messaging Frequency
Message frequency may vary depending on the type of communication. For example, you may receive up to 20 SMS messages per week from us.
4. Potential Fees for SMS Messaging
Please note that standard message and data rates may apply, depending on your carrier’s pricing plan. These fees may vary if the message is sent domestically or internationally.
5. Opt-In Method
You may opt-in to receive SMS messages from Nexus Education in the following ways:
- By texting us for the first time
- By submitting an online form
- By signing a service agreement
- By filling out a paper form
- By sending us your contact number via email correspondence
6. Opt-Out
You can opt out of receiving SMS messages at any time. To do so, simply reply "STOP" to any SMS message you receive. Alternatively, you can contact us directly to request removal from our messaging list. Email us at support@nexus-stem.org. After opting out, you may receive one final confirmation message.
